Goddess Sarasvati

Goddess Sarasvati is an embodiment of knowledge and learning. She is said to ride on her vahana (vehicle), a white swan, holding distinct attributes: a rosary symbolic of meditative nature, a veena symbolic of music and Vedas or books of ancient and sacred knowledge. She is seated on a lotus and bears an appearance common to tantric devas (divine entities). The bright orange background is contrasted by a green fore ground which is covered by a rhythmic pattern representing tufts of grass.
